A free course for Landlords on their legal responsibilities

Free course for landlordsI don’t have a video for you this week. Why not? Well, I have been too busy setting up my new free e course.

Do you understand your legal responsibilities?

We are constantly reading about how many landlords, particularly landlords with small portfolios and accidental landlords, know little about their legal obligations, and about the problems that this causes.

But its understandable really. They have their jobs to do, and most won’t have the time to go on landlord instruction courses. Some may not be able to afford them anyway.

However now there is an answer. The School for Landlords e course!

A free course for landlords

Every week, starting with the day you join, you will get an email with a link to an article on an important aspect of being a landlord.

This will explain the topic clearly and in plain English. To the right will be a panel with links to relevant posts on the Landlord Law Blog in case you want to read further on the subject.

Some of the articles will also have special offers for Your Law Store products, and links to other sources of information.

Here is a list of the topics on the course:

  • landlords responsibilities
  • understanding the legal background
  • letting agents
  • choosing and checking tenants
  • tenancy agreements
  • tenancy deposits
  • rent
  • landlords repairing obligations
  • health and safety issues
  • shared houses and HMOs
  • eviction of tenants
  • summary and checklist

As you can see, they are all important. Things you need to know about.

So how do you get hold of the course? Well click the link below and complete the sign up box on the page. You could be reading the first installment in under a minute!

This is such a fantastic idea, well done to you all. As over 80% of landlords are private owners, it is so important to have this kind of information readily available.
