Landlord Law – the new site is now live!

This post is more than 14 years old

December 17, 2010 by Tessa Shepperson

Landlord Law LogoMany of you will be aware that over the past year my web designer and I have been building a new Landlord Law site.  I am pleased to announce that this is now live!

I hope you will all hop on over and visit the new site.  I have tried to cover most of the things people asked for in the old site, to make using the service as easy as possible for you.

Separate landlords and tenants sections

The site is now divided into two halves – one with information aimed at tenants and one with information aimed at landlords and agents.  This allows me to create content which is more relevant to the reader.  The forum is also divided into landlords and tenants sections, although I have also created a ‘crossroads’ area which both landlord and tenant members can use.

The document generator – tenancy agreements

For example many people were unhappy about the tenancy agreement forms as all the information in the fields was lost when the document was closed (unless you owned the expensive Adobe software).  However we now have a new document generator software where a special tenancy agreement (or other form) is created which you can save to your computer and sent out to your tenants for signature.

The document generator – tenants letters

The document generator is also used for tenants, and we now have a tenants letters service where I will create (within reason) standard letters requested by tenants so they can generate them to send to their landlord. We have three up there for starters:

  • one to send landlords who keep coming into your property without permission
  • one to send to landlord if they have tried to increase the rent without going through the proper procedures and
  • one to send your landlord if he has not given you a gas certificate

Social media

Landlord Law is now a fully signed up social media site, with a much better forum, the ability for members to post comments on much of the content (eg the FAQ and the Q and A) and an internal messaging system.

Suppliers pages

You can also use Landlord Law now to promote YOUR business.  Our suppliers section allows to have your own page for a modest annual fee, or if you are an annual member – for free!

And thats just the start …

Now the new Landlord Law site has finally launched, we can now proceed with various other projects which have been waiting on this.  Watch out next year for some exciting developments in the new year – or sign up to receive the Whats New Landlord Law Blog updates and be sure not to miss anything.

Have you visited the new site?  What did you think?
