The Landlord Law Suppliers section

This post is more than 14 years old

February 16, 2011 by Tessa Shepperson

Landlord Law is not an advertising site.  It is a solicitors information service, membership site, and also has a certain amount of free information for landlords or tenants.

Landlord Law LogoHowever when I was developing the current new version of the site, we had a small group of users who gave us feedback on the site.  One of the things they asked for was more information about relevant suppliers.

So I decided to set up a suppliers section.

About the suppliers section

The suppliers section was intended mainly to be for Landlord Law annual members, many of whom have landlord / tenant related businesses.

Suppliers get their own page, which can have an explanation of their service, some pictures, and contact details.  They can also have a banner in the right margin of their page, and if they have a logo this can go in the top right corner of their page and also shows up when you follow the category links at the top of the pages.

The pages are organised by supplier type (letting agent, insurance company, solicitors firm, gas services, etc) and also by geographic area.  So it is quite easy for people to find out if the service they want is available. New supplier types are added when suppliers ask for them.

The pages also have some interesting features at the bottom.  There is a five star rating system which only logged in members can use.  Suppliers can elect to have comments enabled so that people (again only logged in members) can make comments, give feedback, testimonials etc.  Then there is a link to the suppliers website.

Social media links and offers

Finally the pages can also be bookmarked on the various social medial sites such as Delicious and facebook, which will raise their profile further and improve the pages SEO ranking.

Suppliers can also make a ‘special offer’ to Landlord Law members, and if they do this, they will be linked from a special Landlord Law Offers page which only members can access, and their offer is set out in a banner which only shows to members viewing the page.

How to get your page

Although there have been quite a few Landlord Law member entries (annual members get a page for free as part of their membership entitlement), the service is also becoming increasingly popular with non member service providers, who get charged a fee, currently £75 plus VAT.

So if you are an annual Landlord Law member and run any kind of business which is likley to be of interest to my Landlord Law members, please do apply for your page.  You can do this >> here – there is a form for you to submit your information linked from the bottom of the page.

If you are not a member but would like to pay for a page, follow the same link, you will find a link to make payment on the re-direct page after you have sent off the form.

Also, if you have a landlord / tenant related business web-site, I am open to offers to ‘swap’ information pages, although I no longer do straightforward link exchanges (so can all those people emailing me offering link exchanges please stop).

You will find the suppliers section >> here.
