Landlord Law – do it yourself repossession kits

This post is more than 13 years old

November 14, 2011 by Tessa Shepperson

Landlord Law repossession kitsThe repossession kits have always been popular, and many landlords have used them to bring possession claims themselves, without a solicitor.

For the past five years or so, they have been hosted on a separate site, away from my Landlord Law service and sold separately. However the kits have now been moved over to form part of the Landlord Law site.

This is mainly so that the kits can be integrated more into the Landlord Law content. For example so kit users can now use the Landlord Law document generator repossession notices and letters (rather than the old pdf versions), plus I will over time be doing some video content to help explain things to people.

I also wanted to increase the value of our annual membership and make the site a more comprehensive legal resource centre.

There are two repossession kits:

  • Kit B which is for getting possession using the special accelerated procedure, used for claims based on section 21 notices
  • Kit C which is for claims based on rent arrears, and can also be used for section 21 claims where you can’t use the accelerated procedure

In case you are wondering, Kit A is for getting a CCJ for rent arrears and has been available to Landlord Law members for several years.

The repossession kits are only available to full price annual members.

Next in this series, I will be telling you about the video content.
