Many of us who supported the Law Commission’s Renting Homes project between 2001 and 2006 were outraged when it was simply ignored by Government and left to gather dust on the Law Commission shelves.
However recently the project has been resurrected by the Welsh Assembly and it is the inspriation for a new Housing Bill and soon to be Renting Homes Bill, currently wending their way through the Welsh legislative system.
I was therefore delighted when Professor Martin Partington CBE, the Commissioner in charge of the original project, and who has been involved in the recent resurrection, agreed to come and talk to me about it.
