Landlord Law Blog Roundup from 16 December

Question16th December seems a long time ago now.  Way back in 2014.  Welcome to 2015!

We will be introducing something new into the blog in 2015, which I will be announcing on Monday.  I’m quite excited about it.

In the meantime – what happened on the blog last year?  (The posts start on Tuesday as the last roundup went out late on the Monday).

Tuesday 16th

What are a landlords rights to evict a tenant who is underpaying the rent?

Another landlords whose housing benefit tenant is in big arrears.  What can he do about it?  My suggestions here …

Can a tenant insist on a latching lock on the door?

Charalambou v. Ng – another worrying tenancy deposit case on old deposits

Just before Christmas too.  This case affects landlords of older tenancies who thought they were immune.  Find out more here …
