Landlord Law Blog Roundup from 28 September

This post is more than 9 years old

October 4, 2015 by Tessa Shepperson

New Rules on section 21Well, all the new regs have now come into force.  Now there is going to be an extended period of time while we all work out what they mean.

We ran an excellent workshop on Thursday with barrister Sam Madge Wyld on the changes – fortuitously we were able to get it filmed so my current project is to get this made into an online course.

So watch this space on that.

The other news is that our Manchester 2016 Conference sales page is now live.  It was a fun page to do as there are lots of links with ‘secret content’ you can see by clicking them.

Go and have a look.

But what happened on the blog?

Monday

Section 21 – the new rules – retaliatory eviction

Just a summary of the rules on this, which are set out in s33 of the Deregulation Act 2015.  Find out more here …

Tuesday

Landlord Law TV – the Section 21 special

Ben and I on chairs talking about the new rules.  I thought we got most of it right but after attending Sam’s workshop I am not so sure.  See what you think here …

Wednesday

Section 21 – the new rules – the new section 21 form

Make sure you use the right one – this form was amended before it even came into force due to a government drafting error.  Read about it here …

Thursday

Section 21 – the new rules – summary of posts

To make it a bit easier for you we have put links to all our posts on the new rules here …

Friday

Ben Reeve Lewis Friday Newsround #223

Ben casually mentions the time he shared a platform with Jeremy Corbyn.  As you do.  See what else he had to say here …
