If you visit my Landlord Law site you will see a new green button at the top. That is my new Tenancy Timeline which finally went live last night.
It’s such a sensible and obvious thing to do that I am not entirely sure why it has taken me over 15 years of running Landlord Law to get around to it.
Basically, it’s a great long table divided into sections (preliminary stage, choosing letting agents, choosing tenants, etc) with three main columns:
- Action points
- Links to Landlord Law content, and
- Notes
There are also rows with ‘points to consider’ and rows highlighting differences in Wales (although the time will probably come when Welsh landlords will need a timeline of their own).
So what’s it for?
- It will serve as a check list for landlords on all the things they need to do
- It is a new way for Landlord Law members to locate content on the site, and
- It will also showcase to non-members the wealth of information we have available (and you will also find links to our free content there).
As with most things on Landlord Law, it is a work in progress and will be updated from time to time to reflect new content added to the site or to reflect changes in the rules and regs.
If you are a Landlord Law member you will already know about it (or should – I emailed you yesterday and told you). Otherwise – you can see it here.
