Landlord Law Blog Roundup from 22nd May

This post is more than 8 years old

May 28, 2017 by Tessa Shepperson

KingsHallStokeIf you want something to do other than vote on 8th June and if you are in the Staffordshire area, you should go along to the North Staffordshire Landlord Conference to be held at Kings Hall in Stoke on Trent, where I am speaking.

Its the first time there has been a North Staffordshire Landlords Conference.  I’m doing two talks (on setting up a tenancy and an update on legislation) and there are also talks on eviction, cannabis farms, tax and financial issues and a Local Authority panel.

Tickets are only £25 and you can get them online here.

But what happened on the blog last week?

Monday

Can agents claim commission for another year when the landlord wants the tenants to leave?

An interesting question from a landlord which was asked to my blog clinic.

Tuesday

Do tenants have any redress for deceptive and misleading break clauses?

These issues raise the importance of understanding your tenancy agreement

Wednesday
