Landlord Law Services

This post is more than 8 years old

August 1, 2017 by Tessa Shepperson

Landlord Law ServicesToday is a bit of a landmark day. It is 23 years since I first set up as a ‘sole trader’ – at that time (in 1994) it was my solicitor’s practice, TJ Shepperson.

The solicitor’s practice was gradually overtaken by Landlord Law my online service and was closed down in 2013. But Landlord Law continued. And thrived.

However now we have another change, as my Landlord Law business, from today, will be run through my company, formerly Easy Law Training Ltd, but which in anticipation of this change has now been re-named Landlord Law Services Ltd.

There were various reasons why the two businesses were kept separate – one being that solicitors practices could not be run through ‘normal’ companies. However, I must say that it is with a feeling of relief that I can now manage both businesses together and no longer have to have Chinese walls in my head.

Although there is still one left. This blog is still me and not the company.

What will the change mean for you?

If you are a Landlord Law member, it means that you will now get some free training as part of your membership.

I am going to be doing a ‘members only’ webinar on the Landlord Law tenancy agreements in a couple of weeks time, and I am also arranging for some guest trainers.

Non-members will be able to attend some of these but will have to pay a modest fee.

You can see more about this here.

I will also be giving Landlord Law members a 10% discount on all Easy Law Training courses and events.

Landlord Law Prices

The prices on Landlord Law have been the same since 2010, although the service has improved and a massive amount of new content has been added since then.  So it is time for an increase.

The price change won’t take effect though for a few months, and won’t affect existing members – unless you cancel and re-join. As all recurring payments set up will remain as they are.

So if you want, there is time for you to join before the change and get locked into the current prices.

Moving forward

We live in interesting times. Landlord and tenant law has had some big changes over the past few years with more on the way.

Penalties for non-compliance are also becoming more onerous, particularly with the introduction of Local Authority Civil Penalties and Rent Repayment Orders – not to mention Banning Orders when they come in.

However, the various services provided by Landlord Law Services Ltd will be there to help and support you.

There are quite a few, as they include not only Landlord Law and Easy Law Training but also the Legal Kits, the Conference and the Tenant-Law service.

Onward the future!
