For anyone considering joining my Easy Law for Landlords course, starting soon, I have some exciting news.

John Murray, Emsleys Solicitors
John Murray, solicitor and partner of Emsleys Solicitors has kindly agreed to help on the course. John heads Emsleys Housing Team in Leeds, and is also a Chair of the Residential Property Tribunal. It is his work on the tribunal which he will be talking about mostly on the course.
John has practiced in housing law since 1987. The housing team at Emsleys act on behalf of Housing Associations and private landlords throughout the country. His firm also run a successful lettings agency, providing a true “all under one roof” service. The various roles he undertakes have given him great insight into the varied practical problems that can arise when managing property – and how to best find the solutions. He’s also lectured widely to both the social housing, and private landlord sector.
Course content – the Residential Property Tribunal
John will be recording an interview with me shortly for module 4 of the course about the Residential Property Tribunal and specifically its work reviewing fair rents and rent increases for assured and assured shorthold tenancies. We may also talk a bit about the other work of the tribunal if we have time.
John will also be taking one of the tutorials at around that time, so students who have questions about the tribunal and its work will be table to talk to him then. Plus he will be around on the forums to talk to students and answer questions.
John is very enthusiastic about the course and is looking forward to helping students understand the work of the Residential Property Tribunal – often little known and understood by landlords despite its increasing importance in landlord and tenant law.
I will be making further announcements over the next few days, but in the meantime if you want to find out more about the course >> click here.
