Landlord Law Blog roundup from 20 May

This post is more than 12 years old

May 26, 2013 by Tessa Shepperson

Tenancy Agreement OfferAnother bank holiday – but the last one now until the end of August.

Not much happening here in Landlord Law towers, apart from my bespoke tenancy agreement offer, which you can read about >> here.

If you want a bespoke tenancy agreement note that the offer will end on Thursday.

However here the sun is shining and we are going off on a walk shortly.

But what happened on the blog last week?

Monday

Can anything be done about anti social neighbours?

A perennial problem, which (assuming the ASB neigbours are tenants) cannot be solved by suing the landlord as he is not responsible for what they do – normally.  We had a few interesting comments to this one – read them here …

Tuesday

Residential Possession Proceedings by Gary Webber and Daniel Dovar

A review of this excellent, if somewhat pricey, legal textbook on possession proceedings.  An essential buy if you are a law firm, otherwise its probably beyond your budget.  Read more here …

I am interviewed by Property Geed

If you like podcasts, please do pop over and take a listen to this one.  Not only do you hear me droning on about landlord and tenant law, you also get to hear about Property Geek’s new book.  Find out more about it here …

Wednesday

Can the agents take this penalty fee if I am not in arrears?

A blog clinic question from some tenants whose letting agents have deducted a penalty fee for arrears even though they are not in arrears.  Something wrong surely? Read about it here …

What should landlords watch out for when doing inspections?

Something one of my landlord law members asked, and as I am not a practical landlord, I pass the question on to you.  What do YOU do?  Some pretty good answers there already – see here …

Thursday

All about the Residential Property Tribunal

A chunky clip of John Murray’s talk to the Landlord Law Conference.  John is a RPT chair so this is worth listening to.  Find out more here …

Friday

Ben Reeve Lewis Friday newsround #107

Bens fed up with the cold and also fed up with the Universal Jobsearch Online website and windows 8 computers.  He also has a few things to day about exporting families, surveys and London life.  Find it all here …
