Regular readers may remember that last month I referred to a new Private Rented Sector Code which had been developed to be a standard for the private rented sector, for agents and property managers.
The code is in the form of a pdf document on the RICS website. However as a working document, a pdf is not ideal.
I expect to be referring to the code a lot in the future in my role as Council Member of the Property Redress Scheme and I wanted something which was a bit easier to use.
I have therefore, for my own convenience, created a little website which has the complete code, and the glossary in an easy to use format.
I have also added some comments (and in one section a video) below the code text to expand on it and provide further information.
I created the site primarily for my own use but it is also there for you to use if you wish. If you have any comments on it, or disagree with some of my comments on the code, there is also a feedback form you can use.
Thank you Tessa. I find your website(s) very useful and the free tools you provide are excellent.
I am actively recommending your DIY eviction kit to our landlords who find solicitors fees too expensive, but do not have the know-how to take legal action themselves.
