Landlord Law Blog Roundup from 22 June

This post is more than 10 years old

June 28, 2015 by Tessa Shepperson

Coffee cup and notebookSomehow lots of things seem to be happening just now.

Next week for example, will see Ben appear in part 2 of Nightmare Tenants, Slum Landlords while  I will be sitting in for Daniel Barnett in the Legal Hour on LBC on Wednesday.

It is also the week when we will be moving my Landlord Law site to a new server and doing some other back-end work – hopefully it will not cause too much disturbance although the site may have to be down for maintenance for a short period.

There is also a lot of planning going on, new workshops, stuff with Ben, some filming (more on that later).  All very exciting.

But what happened on the blog?

Monday

Why you have to be careful amending tenancy agreements – Part 1

I looked here at the Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts Regulations 1999 and how you need to  watch out for them.  A lot of comments on this post.  Read them all here …

Tuesday

Why you have to be careful amending tenancy agreements – Part 2

Here I warn about using words with double meanings and other inadvertent errors which can dog the draftsman.  Find out more here …

Wednesday

Ben Reeve Lewis in Nightmare Tenants, Slum Landlords

The trailer for the program.  And a few comments.  Read them here …

Thursday

Can renewal tenancy agreements contain a six months break clause?

As this blog clinic questioner’s agent said no.  The answer is yes but you can read more here …

Friday

Ben Reeve Lewis Friday Newsround #209

Foxtons of course, sleeping rough, photo IDs for landlords, the Bond Connection, all the usual stuff.  Find it here …
