Landlord Law Blog Roundup from 7 December

This post is more than 10 years old

December 12, 2015 by Tessa Shepperson

SueLukes250_2If you are a bit worried about the prospect of having to do ‘right to rent’ checks after 1 February, my training company Easy Law Training may have just the answer for you.

We have invited immigration and eligibility expert Sue Lukes to run a workshop for us on the subject.

Sue did a very well received talk on the subject at our Landlord Law Conference earlier this year and is an ideal person to explain the complexities and a clear and easy to understand way.

You can see a clip of her Conference talk on the information page here.

But what happened on the blog?

Monday

Data Protection Laws and tenants – three tips for landlords

I take a look at the Information Commissioners Office website which has a section on landlords and housing.  Read my comments here…

Tuesday

New retaliatory eviction rules and an infographic from ARLA and Fixflo

If you like infographics this is a good one although I have reservations about part of it.  Read why here …

Wednesday

Can a tenants deposit be withheld due to a disagreement with another tenant?

Looks like it might be another case of landlords trying to save deposit fees again.  See what you think here …

Friday

Ben Reeve Lewis Friday Newsround #233

Ben ends up sleeping on the kitchen floor.  Find out why here …
