I was on LBC last Sunday. Clive Bull did an interview with me to start off their program about the illegal subletting amnesty to Grenfell Tower survivors.
It made me think about it quite carefully and it occurred to me that, provided the people trust the amnesty, this could be one of the few Council tower blocks where the proportion of properties sold oo, lived in by actual social tenants and illegally sublet will be known.
This could be a big help in planning for the future. It’s clear that something MUST be done about housing and social housing. A big start, in my opinion, would be getting rid of right to buy.
