This is the UK section of Greenpeace – the environmental organisation. To quote the web-site:
We defend the natural world and promote peace by investigating, exposing and confronting environmental abuse, and championing environmentally responsible solutions.
I’d question supporting Greenpeace.
Environmental responsibility demands organisations which encourage grass roots, demcratic, activism, not seek to ignore that process.
The example I cite is Greenpeace’s repeated use of email-bombing techniques to bully demcrocatic representatives, which only has the effect of destroying their own reputation. One example: a mailbombing campaign by Greenpeace caused a complaint in the House of Commons:

The mad bit – this was directed at people who *supported* their position.
The mind boggles.
I’d call Greenpeace a small directorate and an army of useful idiots. Please don’t be one of them.
Maybe. It is really up to readers which organisations they support.
This is primarily a landlord and tenant blog which has a monthly charity feature. Charities are drawn from quite a wide area, and are not limited to housing charities (although these tend to predominate). If you want to suggest any other charities you consider more worthy please do so.
