Easy Law for Landlords – Sam the cat

This post is more than 13 years old

May 27, 2012 by Tessa Shepperson

Sam the catIt was truly said by at least one great jurist that every law course needs its own cat.

As I walk through the empty and echoing Easy Law for Landlords classrooms waiting for the start of the course, I have Sam the Cat with me, pouncing on shadows and flipping on sunshine.

He started out as a test account in the course discussion area but very soon developed his own personality and made it clear that he was here to stay.

Although like most cats he spends a lot of time sleeping, he has his own areas of interest on the course. Mice for example have been known to attract his attention, although not of course just after lunch.

He is passionate about the importance of a well stocked fridge, proper heating in winter, and prefers those sofas with wide arms and backs he can lie on. Landlords please take note. Wide window cills also have his general approval.

I have spoken to him about the wording of my pets tenancy agreements which he generally approves of, although he started to lose interest when I confessed that they were largely inspired by the Dogs Trust.

So there he is anyway, firmly ensconced in the course discussion forums, where he sprawls out over the statutory codes and plays with the paperwork.

Yes, maybe I do need to get out a bit more …

(You can find out more about the course >> here)
