Easy Law for Landlords course – introducing Health and Safety expert Paul Marsh

This post is more than 13 years old

May 28, 2012 by Tessa Shepperson

Paul MarshWhen I first mooted the idea of a law course for landlords, Paul was one of the first people who contacted me offering support.

I am delighted therefore to announce  that he will be helping me with the Health and Safety part of the course (module 8) and I will be interviewing him on landlords obligations as to fire hazards, as well as other health and safety issues.

About Paul Marsh

Paul is a former Senior Enforcement Officer with the Fire Service and is now a Director of Lawes Marsh Limited, a company which specialises in helping landlords, councils and property management companies comply with fire safety and other health and safety regulations.

He has significant practical experience as a qualified Fire Investigator and Incident Manager and has attended many fires within residential accommodation, in order to establish ‘cause and effect’. So he knows what he is talking about! He now uses this and his enforcement background to assist Landlords to ensure safety is applied in a common sense and legally compliant way.

Paul is a member of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management and has been a member of the Institution of Fire Engineers for over 20 years, having also served as the President of the Southern Branch. He has written articles for landlord publications and given talks to residential landlord forums.

Paul and the Easy Law for Landlords course

So Paul’s contribution to the Easy Law for landlords course will be a significant one. As well as the interview, Paul has agreed to take one of the tutorials and he will also be around in the group discussions site to answer any questions people may have on health and safety issues.

For more information about the Easy Law for Landlords course >> click here.

However remember that bookings will close on 30 May so there are only a few days left to book your place.
