Landlord Law Blog Roundup from 27 August

This post is more than 12 years old

August 31, 2013 by Tessa Shepperson

Doing the CPDThe last day of August today.

There are a few things I have planned for September – one of them is the next set of CPD questions, based on the August posts.

So if you want the CPD I suggest you >> do it now.

There are fewer posts this week as Monday was a bank holiday.  Lets take a look at them:

Tuesday

My landlord is a tenant

What should tenants do if they find out that their landlord is actually a tenant themselves and suspect that they are renting the property illegally?  Find out here …

Wednesday

Tenant caught in the middle of a landlord / agent dispute

Another blog clinic question.  The landlord wants the tenant to stay and the agent is threatening eviction.  What should the tenant do?  See what I thought about it here …

Thursday

Landlords beware fraudsters mortgaging your property

I report on a case where a landlord was unable to set aside a fraudulent mortgage.  There are some simple steps you can take to prevent this happening.  See what they are here …

Friday

Ben Reeve Lewis Friday Newsround #121

Ben reports an important anniversary and discusses austerity, substandard B&Bs and the Foxtons floatation
