Landlord Law Blog Roundup from 6 May

This post is more than 11 years old

May 11, 2014 by Tessa Shepperson

annie-computerI have started experimenting with powerpoint presentations.

I did one for the Conference Course sales page and I was amazed at how many people the stats told me had watched it.

It is rather seductive – there it is, on the page, with little arrows you can click.  You feel you want to click them …

So I have done another one which went live yesterday on tenancy agreements.  Let me know what you think of it – would you like me to do more?

But what happened on the rest of the blog?

Tuesday

Should this tenant pay rent when the Landlord has re-occupied property instead of re-letting after tenant moved out early?

A blog clinic one this, with a landlord who is clearly not playing fair. See what suggestions I had here …

Wednesday

Landlord will not let tenant leave property she is not living in

Although its really a question of how long he can claim the rent for.  Take a look here …

Thursday

Professor Martin Partington CBE discusses the Welsh Housing bills #landlordlawlive

Our May podcast, and a very interesting one.  A glimpse into the world of why government introduce new legislation – or not.  Listen to it here …

Friday

Developing a Rogue Landlord Multi-Agency Taskforce in London

Ben is on holiday this week, so I asked if he could leave a post on his day job hunting down criminal landlords.  Its a fascinating read …

Saturday

Ten reasons why landlords need to have a written tenancy agreement

This is the little powerpoint I mentioned at the beginning.  Let me know what you think.  You will find it here ..
