Tenancy Agreements – A new Easy Law Training Online Course

This post is more than 11 years old

December 13, 2014 by Tessa Shepperson

Tenancy Agreements - the Complete CourseWhen Ben, Graeme and myself first set up Easy Law Training Ltd in 2012, it was on the back of a very  successful online course I had developed and run called Easy Law for Landlords.

One of the big ideas behind Easy Law  Training was to develop online training using multi media so people could study essential legal issues in an easy way.

Although we do have a number of online courses (including a version of the original Easy Law for Landlords Course), since then the main thrust of our training has been face to face – the Conferences, the workshops and the in house training done by Ben, Sue Lukes and John Murray.

Although I did an online course on Agency Law last year, and the usual Conference Course, I have not done another mainstream online training course for a while.

However on looking at the results of our end of year feedback form, it is clear that there is a very strong demand for this.  And a course on tenancy agreements seems to be at the top of everyone’s list.

Happily I have only recently done a workshop on tenancy agreements and have a lot of material to hand.  So the next Easy Law Online course will be on tenancy agreements.  Starting on the 28th January 2015.

About the course

The Tenancy Agreements Online course will be a ‘real time’ course.  This means that everyone will start at the same time, and will move through the course material together.

Every two weeks (or maybe sometimes after a bit longer) new material will be released.  There will be seven parts to the course, although I may add a bonus section at the end.

The main backbone of the course is the material I used for the tenancy agreements workshop (and delegates who attended those workshops are able to sign up for a lower price to reflect this).

However I am also planning on adding a fair amount of new content.  For example the government has recently issued a model tenancy agreement so I will be using extracts from this when considering individual clauses.

So far I have the course set up and the first two modules done (although I expect I will revisit them before launch).

I’ll let you know how it goes …

Note – if you are interested in attending you can find out all about the new course and book your place here.

Glad to hear you are running a tenancy agreement course as it is badly needed. If the examples of drafting we see on LLZ are anything to go by the standard is shocking.

Thank you. Yes, I am always surprised when I do tenancy agreement training how much there is to say about it. Its a big subject if you do it properly eg looking at the relevant law, the URCCR and then looking at the individual clauses.
