We have a couple of new speakers at our Cambridge Conference. One of these is Warren Spencer, from Blackhurst Budd solicitors.
We are absolutely delighted to get Warren to speak as he is a leading expert in a subject which is extremely important for all landlords – fire safety.
Warren tells me that he has acted in over 130 cases involving the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order (which he will be telling us about at the Conference). One of his cases, where he was prosecuting, lead to the most severe punishment ever given under the Fire Safety Legislation.
Warren also sits as a Tribunal Judge and in 2008 received the Higher Courts Advocate accreditation which means he can work as an advocate in the Crown Court.
He was also shortlisted by the Law Society for the Private Practice Solicitor of the Year award at the 2009 Law Society Excellence Awards.
Warren told us:
I am very much looking forward to speaking at your conference. The issue of Fire Safety to Landlords is of paramount importance, and the Courts are becoming more and more robust in their approach to fire safety breaches. Hopefully, my presentation will provide some sound and practical advice to your delegates

If you want to attend the Conference (which is on 14 April 2015 at Cambridge) note that we are now officially sold out. However not all delegates have paid yet and there are always a few cancellations, so there is a reasonable chance that at least some places may become available.
We will be offering these to people on our waiting list in strict rotation (so the higher you are on the list, the better the chance of getting a place). You can sign up to go on the waiting list here.
