The Residential Landlords Association at the Landlord Law Conference 2016

This post is more than 9 years old

March 17, 2016 by Tessa Shepperson

The Residential Landlords AssociationThe Residential Landlords Association have been long term supporters of the Landlord Law Conference and we are delighted to see them as exhibitors at our 2016 event.

The RLA are one of the largest Landlords Associations in the country and do a huge amount of good for landlords nationwide.

I particularly admire the lobbying work that they do.  For example their most recent Fight MIR Changes campaign has seen them meet up with the treasury, Lords and MPs in an effort to get the Chancellor to change his decision to restrict Mortgage Interest Relief for private landlords to the basic rate of tax.

Other campaigns include campaigns on universal credit and on HMOs and selective licensing.  With the highly respected David Smith (one of our Landlord Law Conference Speakers) as their director of Policy, they are well placed to have a big influence.  You can see links to all their campaigns on their website here.

They also have some great services for landlords along with the special deals they have negotiated for their members.

If you want to talk to the Residential Landlords Association about their services and how they can help you as a landlord – they will be in the Landlord Law Conference exhibitors area at our Conference in Manchester on 12 May.

If you want to hear their Director of Policy David Smith, talk about two issues he knows really well – section 21 and HMOs, again you need to be at the Conference.
