Landlord Law Blog roundup from 21 May

This post is more than 13 years old

May 26, 2012 by Tessa Shepperson

peach blossomIts always a bit nervy when you launch a new product.  Will anyone be interested?  My Easy Law for Landlords course opened for bookings last week and thankfully people ARE signing up.

Which is a relief!  I know its a good course and people who have seen it say it is a good course, but you always worry!

If you are interested by the way, you can see more here (bookings will close on Wednesday evening).

But what happened on the blog?

Monday

Financial awards for rat and mouse infestations

We get a lot of questions about this,  and vermin and similar words are common search terms that turn up in the stats.  So it seemed a good idea to do a post about actual financial awards that have been made to tenants suffering from rodent infestation.  Find out what they got here …

Tuesday

Easy Law for Landlords course now open for bookings

You heard it here folks!  Visit the post to get the low down.

Is this section 21 notice correct?

A blog clinic question here where my answer was challenged.  I still think I am right – take and look and see what you think  …

Wednesday

Housing Law – an advisors handbook by Diane Astin

Ben does a review of this advisors’ friend and approves.  In fact he is hiding his copy in his bottom drawer where no-one can find it, so it doesn’t get nicked by his colleagues.  Find out why here …

Do I give my remaining tenant a new tenancy agreement?

This is a blog clinic questions which excited a bit of comment – take a look here …

Thursday

Easy Law for Landlords course – Destin case law digest

Revealing another goodie in store for those signing up for my course.  FInd out more here …

Friday

Ben Reeve Lewis Friday newsround #59

Ben talks about his visit to Landlord Law towers last weekend when he and my husband insisted on talking about military history instead of the housing law issues which is what he was there for.  Sigh.  He also discusses bedroom tax, Shapps, albatrosses, dogs in Spain, all the usual issues.  Read about them here …

Can I claim rent under my eviction claim under s21

Another blog clinic question where a landlord wonders if she can start her claims for rent now. I lay out the alternatives.  See what they are here …
